Our Share the Plate partner for January 29th (5th Sunday) is the Unitarian Universalist Service Organization’s Guest at Your Table. This annual intergenerational program raises support for and awareness about critical human rights issues. This year, Guest at Your Table is partnering with activists around the world to address the following: meaningful action for climate justice; legal assistance and social resources to people fleeing Ukraine into Hungary; community care for LGBTQIA+ people recently released from U.S. immigration detention; and work with ethnic minorities in Burma who have been targeted by the military junta. Our contribution of $150 or more will be matched by the Shelter Rock UU Congregation. Please give generously to this worthy Share the Plate partner. |
