Board Update January 2025

FUUN Board Meeting Summary
January 21, 2025

• Discussion related to ongoing board goals included issues supporting religious education and policy to enable clear fellowship initiatives.
• The Year-End Campaign raised almost $55,000, including the 50% match by the Trust. Rachel Rogers, board president, will send a message of thanks to all for securing the financial position of FUUN.
• There was an update on the upcoming pledge drive and review of the newly drafted “program budget”. The board offered ideas and support for the pledge drive which will begin in late March this year.
• The board will update the policies on inclement weather, clarifying the decision-making on closing the campus and pivoting to a virtual service.
• Church security is an important issue. Policy was developed in the past and will be reviewed as well as what efforts can begin soon.
• Interviews for the Acting Director of Religious Education will take place next week.
• The presentation for the mid-year meeting was reviewed. The meeting, postponed by snow, will be held in the sanctuary after the service on February 2.
