FUUN Beloveds-

I have loved greeting you at the door each Sunday before service for the last six months. Welcoming you this way means I get an extra opportunity to get to know you and your families, and it also allows me to soak in the growing energy and excitement on Sunday mornings. I don’t know about you, but to me this community feels poised to grow in big, impactful ways this year!

An essential way to help support this growth and the mission and vision of FUUN’s ministry is to engage our personal generosity to financially fund it. As you likely know, FUUN receives no outside funding from the UUA or any additional organizations, and so it is solely our responsibility to care for one another and our beloved community in this way.

We have officially begun our annual pledge drive - the single largest effort to fund our operating budget each year. A donation of any amount is deeply appreciated and is used to keep our electricity on, pay a living wage to our devoted staff, fund our justice work out in the world, maintain our buildings and grounds, and invest in our programming which does the important work of making our ministry a reality.

While our Finance Committee helps us to remain responsible stewards of our resources, this year I asked the staff and the teams to dream of the future and help us develop a budget that ensures we go beyond merely surviving and live into a season of thriving. The proposed budget will be a thoughtful reflection of that dreaming. I have faith, as should you, that together we can fund this budget completely and have an incredible 2026/27 congregational year full of nourishing worship, enriching educational opportunities, joyful fellowship events, and much-needed social justice work, along with so much more.

On Sunday, March 1st, we have an invigorating pledge drive kick-off planned. The service will have some guest musicians and an invitation to pledge right then and there. When pledging, you will receive a key which, if you’re the lucky winner, may unlock a special prize!

As we dive into this season of giving it is essential that you know this community is not whole without you in it. Your spirit, your care, your time, talents and your treasure sustain us and make us who we are. Thank you for being a part of FUUN- whether you’ve been here all 75 years, or are joining us for the very first month. You are important.

I am so grateful to be your minister,

Rev. Charlotte
