May 2025 Board Update

The FUUN Board of Directors met 5/20/25 to finalize the agenda for the upcoming Annual Meeting scheduled for June 1, 2025. The agenda will include a report from the Trust, presentation of the proposed budget, and presentation of the slate of nominees for elected positions. Refinancing plan for the mortgage on the Norris House will also be presented. The Board  reviewed the proposed budget, decided on appointees to both the Committee on Shared Ministry and the new Governance Committee, and discussed reviving the Virginia Grantham and Joan and Joe Moore awards. It was Reverend Diane Dowgiert’s last meeting with the Board, and her last Sunday in the pulpit will be June 15^th.  We will honor 18 years of service of Marguerite Mills as Director of Lifespan Religious Education on Sunday, June 8^th, with a video montage presented during the service. There will be a start up weekend for Religious Education August 9^th and 10^th. Nancy Combs-Morgan from the UUA  will lead services August 10^th and requests full congregational presence 11:30 am -12:30 pm after the service.
