Last Saturday marked the official beginning of our covenantal relationship of shared ministry with Rev. Charlotte. So, what does it mean to share ministry? In simplest terms, it means both laypeople and clergy engage in the ministry together. Our ministry consists of all the actions we take to fulfil our mission. A mission provides a clear, shared purpose and direction, while a covenant forms a sacred, binding commitment that fosters unity and relationship with one another. Together, they empower us to act with integrity, creating a strong community focused on upholding our shared values.
The Committee on Shared Ministry invites all of our FUUN community to explore how we as individuals, our families, and the groups with which we are involved, are meeting our mission and practicing our covenant. You will be hearing more from us on this subject in the coming months.
