We have Sunday morning Religious Education classes for:

  • PreK: 3- and 1st grade. (Those who are potty trained and are 3 years old by September 1.)
  • 2nd-5th Grades
  • 6th-8th Grades

Before You Arrive

Please REGISTER your child(ren) for Faith Formation.

When You Arrive...

  1. Please go to the Faith Formation (FF) table and sign in your child(ren).
  2. Go with your child(ren) into the sanctuary. You will experience the beginning of the service together.

Know that we appreciate “joyful noise.” Do not feel that you must leave the sanctuary if your child(ren) can be heard. If you do feel it necessary to leave, we have the service playing on the screen in the social hall (where you enter the building). If you see Minister of Faith Formation for Children and Youth, Rev. Jennifer Hackett, she’ll be happy to go with you and answer questions you and/or your child(ren) have about the service or the church.

4. After the offering, at approximately 10:30 a.m., children are sung out to their FF classes. If this is your first time with us and your child(ren) is in preK-8th grade, please go with them across the parking lot to Morgan House where classes take place so that you will know where to go and sign them out when classes are over at 11:30. Or if you wish, you are always welcome to stay in class with your child(ren).

If your child(ren) prefers to remain in the service with you, feel free to take an activity packet from the back table at the entrance of the Sanctuary. And remember – a “joyful noise” is always welcome.

After the Service

  1. The service typically ends at about 11 a.m., so please feel free to have a cup of coffee or tea and meet some folx before picking up your child(ren).
  2. At 11:30 a.m., if your child(ren) is in preK – 8th grade, please go to their classroom in Morgan House to sign them out.

There are always a variety of ways that our children participate in worship services. Two of them are:

  • Families/children/youth are invited to participate as the Worship Assistant, which includes offering the Chalice Lighting, reading the Welcome, helping to take up the offering, and more. Let us know if you would like to participate in this way!
  • At the end of the academic year in mid-May, the children give a gift to the congregation by sharing what they have done in their classes that year as part of FF Sunday.
