The Immigrant Justice Action Team needs donations of the non-perishable food, cleaning and personal hygiene products described on this list . At this moment, this is the most urgent priority. Donations can be brought to FUUN on Sundays and left in the appropriately labeled boxes in the Social Hall. For more information contact Pat Lynch or Susan Johnston. These donations will be brought to families directly impacted by the current ICE raids, and will make a real difference in Nashville lives. Many of our neighbors from immigrant communities here in Nashville are suffering the loss of a breadwinner from increased ICE enforcement and detentions. Put our UU core values of Justice and Generosity into action and work with FUUN’s Immigrant Justice Action Team. Get more involved with the Immigrant Justice Action Team by contacting Jack Willey or attending our next meeting, scheduled for September 21. Activate our UU values in the community.

If you are interested in getting more involved, there are additional ways to help.  For packing the goods into boxes, transporting them to a warehouse, or delivering them to the families, contact Susan Johnston.  For information about being trained as a verifier (witness to ICE raids), contact Jack Willey.  Your help will be very much appreciated.
