FUUN Board Meeting Summary
October 15 , 2024

• Updates given on current year goals:
1. Financial Stability – Board leaders will meet with a group of members familiar with the church finances to look at opportunities and begin a preliminary budget for the 2025/26 year.
2. Religious Education- Thanks to many volunteers, Children’s RE and the Youth Group are continuing and running smoothly. They are working on tracking attendance.
3. Member Engagement- Board leaders will be communicating with groups and teams to invigorate opportunities of engagement in their areas of interest.
• A fundraising initiative to balance our budget was discussed. There will be additional information in the near future.
• Former church member Phoenix Bell-Shelton Biggs (known as Roddy at FUUN) will be ordained at the UU Congregation of Atlanta on January 25, 2025. The Board will send greetings to them for this event.
• The Mid-Year meeting will be held on January 12, 2025.
• A graphic of the new governance organization was reviewed. A few changes/additions were made. The graphic and a chart version will be reviewed for approval before the next meeting. These will be included in the search packet.
• The current vision of the make-up, duties and responsibilities of a new committee, The Committee on Shared Ministries was discussed. This will be included in the search packet.
