The Tennessee Unitarian Universalist Community Action Network (TUUCAN) invites all Tennessee UUs to Nashville for the Fall Flock on Saturday, October 18th, 2025, at First UU Church of Nashville (FUUN) from 9 am to 4 pm. We will share food, fellowship, and support each other during these difficult times in our cities, state, and country. We will learn how UU State Action Networks across the United States turn UU values into positive action. We will nurture deeper relationships, strengthen our social justice ecosystem, and create plans for a world with love at the center. We hope to represent - in person or via Zoom - each of our 14 UU communities in Tennessee and beyond.
When we share together in community, our fear-based response can become a trust-based response. As a “flock”, our fears and anxieties go down because together we are talking with one another, building relationships of trust and care where we say, “we can keep one another safe.”
Tennessee holds a historic place in United States social actions, and UU communities have a place in building coalitions of good people coming together for good work. We invite you to join us as we move forward in these historic times.
The Tennessee Unitarian Universalist Community Action Network (TUUCAN) is a statewide collective of Unitarian Universalists living and amplifying our shared values of justice, equity, transformation, plurality, interdependence, and generosity, with love at the center. We covenant to work for justice in Tennessee — supporting each other and sharing our resources as we work to live our UU values into practice across the state. We pledge to be a strong, united, and public voice representing those values to our elected officials and the public at large as active participants in our local and state democratic processes.
