The October “Flock” in Nashville is open to all Tennessee UUs as we nurture connections between our churches, congregations, and fellowships. In providing localized support, we hope to pool resources for a more effective voice across Tennessee social justice work efforts. Programming will reflect an introduction to the success of other UU State Action Networks, a review of Side with Love intersectional justice priorities and available resources. We hope to see you on October 18th in Nashville!

TUUCAN is a UU justice ministry and legislative advocacy network with a membership reflecting UU communities across Tennessee. TUUCAN meets on the third Saturday of every month via Zoom, with Steering Committee meetings on the fourth Sunday. We provide:

  • A community of like-minded folks with an interest in legislative advocacy and justice work that impacts our local communities

  • Timely information on legislative actions affecting Tennessee communities

  • Resources and research on justice issues

  • Support to our churches, congregations, and fellowships at the local level

  • Professional development and networking opportunities

Our developing partnerships include Planned Parenthood of TN, TN Immigrant & Refugee Rights Coalition (TIRRC), Americans United for Separation of Church and State, and others.
